Guilloche' Classes

I am being hosted as a guest teacher at Memoria Technica, Brittany Nicole Cox, the last two weekends in January for a beginners course and a second level course the first weekend in February. If you're interested check it out at http://mechanicalcurios.com/classes/.

The classes are limited to 10 people per class and are already filling up. They will be taught on a Lienhard rose engine and Lienhard straight line engine that came out of the Bulova watch factory and have virtually no wear on them. The class is being held at the Memoria Technica workshop in the Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle Washington. The neighborhood is in the South end of Seattle, so it's a bit removed from the city. There is a light rail station that takes you right to Columbia City from downtown and other neighborhoods and the workshop is within walking distance from the station. If you are flying you can also take the light rail straight from the airport to Columbia City and downtown.

There is also the express number 9 bus that will take you from the Capitol Hill neighborhood to the workshop.


The workshop is not open to the public, so the address in not posted online. Once registered and deposit paid - information about the space and class documents will be distributed.

The interest in guilloche' work has been greater than we thought it would be, and these classes are filling up more quickly than we thought they would. There are three places left in the second level course, and the beginner's courses are over half filled.
