antique French lathe with ornamental turning capability

I have this beautiful lathe that belonged to my great uncle. There is no brand on the lathe but the verniers are signed in script "Niggl a Paris". I am trying to find information about its origin and value. I am attaching a link with high def pictures that will reveal much detail upon zooming in. What I have got so far is that it was probably built in France pre 1860. It has fly cutters, lead screws, and degree wheels. The drop bed allows for roughly 4" by 11" swing. The main bed allows a 6'' swing with 28" between centers. I would appreciate any feedback as regards this lathe. my email is ordssawmill@hotmail.com

thanks
